beauty: early 2020 favorites.

I realized it's been a loooong time since I've done a roundup of my favorite beauty products, so here 'tis! All of these are cruelty-free and reasonably priced.

1. Fourth Ray Beauty | Raydiate Vitamin C Serum | $16

I absolutely love this serum—it smells great, it's not fussy, and I think it's actually made a difference on my skin. I apply it every morning after I wash my face and before I put on moisturizer. 

2. Fourth Ray Beauty | After Hours Detox Face Oil | $10

This has a great combination of ingredients and is a good evening application, pre-moisturizer.

3. Farmacy | Green Clean Makeup Remover | $22 for 1.7ml

I received this as part of a gift set from my cousin, and having never tried anything from Farmacy before, I was blown away. This is now the only makeup remover I use—I stopped buying Burt's Bees remover wipes (for a few reasons: not super effective, creates waste, and Burt's Bees is now in a cruelty-free gray area) and moved completely to this. It's effective, easy to use, and you don't need to use a ton of it.

4. Colourpop | Super Shock Highlighter in Flexitarian | $8

On the days I remember/have time to put on highlighter, this is my go-to. It's not overkill and it goes with any look (even if it's just black eyeliner and foundation!). Just a quick swipe with a brush on both cheekbones and you're good to go.
